- INTRODUCTION
- ============
- At times, you may want to change the name of a directory,
- and have tried to do so by using DOS's REN command. Unfortunately,
- DOS's REN only works for Files, not Directories. RENDIR will solve
- this problem. RENDIR is short for Rename Directory.
-
-
- REQUIRED FILES
- ==============
- RENDIR is distributed as two files. The files are:
-
- RENDIR.EXE -The program
- RENDIR.DOC -This documentation file
-
-
- INSTALLATION
- ============
- To install RENDIR, copy the RENDIR.EXE file into any directory.
- Also remember to set a PATH to the directory you selected.
- The recommended place for RENDIR is in the DOS directory of your
- hard drive, usually C:\DOS.

- RUNNING RENDIR
- ===========
- The RENDIR program expects two directory names to be specified on
- the command line. To get information on RENDIR, type "RENDIR /?"
-
- The correct synatx is RENDIR Directory1 Directory2.
- Directory1 is the source name that you want to change. Directory2
- is the target name that you want to change to.
-
- Let us suppose that you have the following directory tree:
-
- C:.
- √ƒƒƒTEMP
- √ƒƒƒMYSTUFF
- ¿ƒƒƒDOS
-
- If you were to issue the command RENDIR MYSTUFF GAMES, the
- directory called MYSTUFF will be renamed to GAMES. Below is
- the same directory tree after issuing the command. RENDIR works
- almost exactly like DOS's REN command.
-
- C:.
- √ƒƒƒTEMP
- √ƒƒƒGAMES
- ¿ƒƒƒDOS
